Social media has become pervasive and significantly shapes marketing strategies in the digital era. This study investigates factors influencing social media adoption and its effect on business performance. Key variables include perceived usefulness, ease of use, compatibility, cost, social media for marketing, and business performance. Quantitative data selected from 100 SMEs in Bandung. Data were collected via a survey and analyzed using SEM-PLS constructed by 26 questionaire items. A theoretical model has been created by combining elements from TAM and UTAUT2, with certain adaptations, to examine how this impact relates to business performance. Findings reveal that perceived usefulness, ease of use, compatibility, and cost positively influence SMEs' adoption of social media for marketing activities. The study also demonstrates that using social media for marketing positively impacts business performance. Ultimately, promoting sincerity in raising awareness about the benefits of SMM to Indonesian SMEs can encourage its adoption for their overall advantage.

Keywords: Perceived Usefulness, Ease of Use, Compatibility, Social Media Marketing, Business Performance

Syafa Firsta Alika, Teguh Widodo Copyright (c) 2023 Kontigensi : Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/357 Fri, 01 Dec 2023 08:59:29 -0500 Implementation of Sentiment Analysis in HR Management and Development Planning Using Topic Modelling on Employee Review https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/358
Employee satisfaction is a crucial factor in the workplace that affects motivation, performance, and overall well-being. Dissatisfaction can lead to high turnover and organizational disruption. Enhancing satisfaction is essential for maintaining productivity and retention. However, gathering accurate data is challenging due to employee hesitancy. Career websites offer a platform for anonymous reviews; however, analyzing vast amounts of textual data can be overwhelming. Moreover, management needs to identify which aspects require priority for improvement. This study proposes a data analytics approach using sentiment analysis and topic modelling to assess employee satisfaction and identify contributing aspects. The method was applied to 9,000 publicly available reviews of Accenture on Glassdoor. The proposed method can provide insights into the positive or negative perceptions of employees towards the company and categorize them based on common topics. Opportunity mapping was then applied to highlight the areas requiring improvement. This study provides insights into employee opinions and identifies aspects that are satisfactory, lacking, or highly satisfying. This approach offers a valuable framework for organizations seeking to enhance employee satisfaction based on comprehensive data analysis.
Furqon Sandiva Utomo Putra, Ira Puspitasari Copyright (c) 2023 Kontigensi : Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/358 Mon, 04 Dec 2023 15:01:38 -0500 Analysis of Financial Performance, Efficiency, and Organizational Growth of Zakat Management Organizations on Zakat Collection in Indonesia https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/371
The purpose of this study is to analyze the financial performance, efficiency and growth of zakat management organizations with independent variables such as liquidity ratios, amil funds, activity, efficiency and growth in zakat payments. Panel data from 41 manufacturing businesses listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the years 2017 through 2021 was used to implement the strategy. Our findings demonstrate that the impact of special relationship transactions on effective tax rates is neither affected nor changed by corporation size. According to data processing findings, a company's size can both adversely reduce the impact of modal intensity on the effective tax rate and positively moderate the impact of modal intensification on the effective tax rate. These results, in our opinion, will be helpful to governments when deciding on fiscal policies as well as to businesses when deciding where to locate and make investments in these nations. This study, in our opinion, is a significant contribution to the literature since it takes into account new factors, including institutional and business-related factors, that were not jointly taken into account in other studies on the determinant effective tax rate.
Lukman Hakim, Daljono Daljono Copyright (c) 2023 Kontigensi : Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/445 Sat, 09 Dec 2023 00:00:00 -0500 Dividend Policy Mediates the Effect of Financial Performance on Firm Value https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/364
This study aimed to examine the effect of financial performance on firm value, with dividend policy as an intervening variable (A Study at Manufacturing Companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange). The population was manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016-up to 2020. Furthermore, the data collection technique used purposive sampling with 72 companies as the sample. The data used were secondary, in companies’ annual reports. The data analysis technique used SEM-PLS with Smart PLS 3.0. The analysis result from measurement models (outer model) through internal consistency test, convergent and discriminant validity showed that all variables had fulfilled the testing requirements. Based on the model structure (inner model), path coefficient analysis with bootstrapping and determinant coefficient test was used to perceive either relation or ability of exogenous variables in describing endogen variables. In addition, the hypothesis test concluded that liquidity, leverage, activities, and profitability had a significantly positive effect on dividend policy. In contrast, liquidity and activities had a positive but insignificant effect on firm value. On the other hand, leverage, profitability, and dividend policy significantly positively impacted firm value. In brief, dividend policy could not mediate the effect of liquidity and leverage on firm value, yet it could judge the impact of activities and profitability on firm value.
Zessicha Belliana Putri, Khuzaini Khuzaini, Suhermin Suhermin Copyright (c) 2023 Kontigensi : Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/364 Sat, 09 Dec 2023 00:00:00 -0500 Distribution of Garlic Marketing Margin in West Miomaffo District, North Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/365
Garlic farming is the livelihood of the community in Fatuneno village, North Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, to meet the needs of children's life and education. The income of garlic farmers is the marketing margin obtained by garlic postharvest actors. The purpose of this study is to find out 1). How much is the marketing margin receipt of postharvest actors? 2). Is there a marketing margin distribution gap between garlic postharvest actors? This research method is a survey, and data collected randomly stratified; respondents consist of 46 farmers, eight collecting traders and three intermediary traders. Analysis tools used:1). To determine the marketing margin received by postharvest actors, the Marketing Margin equation is used. 2) For marketing margin distribution, use Gini Coefficient. There are three postharvest actors in garlic marketing distribution: producer farmers, collecting traders, and intermediary traders. In all three garlic marketing channel models, a short marketing channel benefits all three garlic postharvest actors. The distribution of marketing margins in the first and second marketing channels is at moderate evenness, and the third marketing channel is at high evenness.
Anggraeny Paridy, Stanis Man, Adrianus Ketmoen, Hironimus Dopo, Leni Marlina Kanadjo Copyright (c) 2023 Kontigensi : Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/365 Sat, 09 Dec 2023 00:00:00 -0500 Consumer Reviews on TikTok and Their Impact on Millennial Saving Decisions https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/385
The purpose of this study is to investigate customer reviews of banking advertisements onTikTok. The current phenomenon is the emergence of formal banking product advertisements on social media such as in Instagram, Twitter or FB. Another phenomenon that appears is the way customers make decisions has also changed. Before making a decision, customers prefer reviews given by customers uploaded on social media, Data collection was collected by survey method. Questionnaires distributed on Instagram. Respondents were screening only for those who had seen a review of a savings product ad on TikTok which consisted of 171 people. The findings show that positive reviews (P-Reviews) and negative reviews (N-Reviews) influence customers' saving decisions. However, our particular finding is that N-Review has a greater influence on customers' saving decisions than P-Review. The product weakness construct is the biggest determinant in deciding to buy a product. This concludes that customers are very careful about product deficiencies. N-Reviews published on social media make customers more careful when buying products because customers don't want to lose money. On the other hand, for a product that is considered good, the volume of (P-Reviews) must be high in order to create a positive impression on customers.
Shagi Aprilia Kurniawan, Tetty Rimenda, Agus Buntoro, R. This model identifies three stages in the purchasing process: stimuli, organism (consumer's mind), and response. In this study, we explore consumer responses within various product categories, seeking to unveil patterns in decision-making processes. The experiment at Indomaret Sudiang Raya involved observing 146 randomly selected individuals, ensuring gender balance among respondents. The research encompassed three key sections: initial purchase goals and desires, observations of consumer behavior, and a survey on reasons for purchasing products. Our findings shed light on diverse consumer behaviors, encompassing immediate purchases, indecisiveness, analytical reviews, and non-stop behavior across different product categories. Certain product groups were less frequently purchased, suggesting dynamic shifts in consumer preferences over time. We delved into the cognitive and personal responses of Indomaret shoppers, revealing distinct patterns such as experiential behavior (purchasing known products) and analytical behavior (meticulously analyzing options before purchasing). The study identified nuances across product categories, providing valuable insights into the intricate landscape of consumer decision-making processes.
Paulus Djohan Lolo, Nurdiansyah Nurdiansyah Copyright (c) 2023 Kontigensi : Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/489 Sat, 23 Dec 2023 00:00:00 -0500 Entrepreneurial Resilience and Self Efficacy During the Covid-19 https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/401
Throughout Indonesia, MSMEs reflect a national workforce of 97%, so this achievement makes MSMEs the pillars of the Indonesian state economy. The incident of the spread of Covid-19 has an impact on stock market instability which also has an impact on company value. Investors are cautious in investing in the IDX including considering the value of the company. According to a number of studies, firm value (PBV) is influenced by leverage (DER), profitability (ROE), interest rates (BI Rate), and company size (SIZE) but inconsistently (positively or negatively). There are other studies that show an inconsistent relationship between DER, ROE, BI Rate and SIZE. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze DER, ROE, and BI Rate on PBV with SIZE as an intervening variable. The research was conducted on companies listed in LQ45 for the 2019-2022 Period using purposive sampling method and based on their annual financial statements. Other data is obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics, and Yahoo Finance. Data processing using SmartPLS with the PLS-SEM method with a 95% confidence level reinforced by the Sobel Test. The results of the study are based on direct influence, namely: 1) Leverage (DER) has a significant positive effect on firm value (PBV), 2) Profitability (ROE) has no effect on firm value (PBV), 3) Interest Rate (BI Rate) has no effect on firm value (PBV), 4) Firm size (SIZE) has a significant negative effect on firm value (PBV), 5) Leverage (DER) has a significant positive effect on firm size (SIZE ), 6) Profitability (ROE) has no effect on firm size (SIZE), 7) Interest rate (BI Rate) has no effect on company size (SIZE). Based on the indirect effect, the results are: 1) Leverage (DER) has a significant negative effect on firm value (PBV) through firm size (SIZE), 2) Profitability (ROE) has no effect on firm value (PBV) through firm size (SIZE), and 3) Interest rates (BI Rate) have no effect on firm value (PBV) through company size (SIZE). Based on this research, companies need to be wise in managing debt in connection with the significant positive leverage (debt) on firm value. Likewise, with the effect of profitability (ROE) on firm value negatively although not significant, companies need to anticipate/be careful because in real conditions profitability should have a positive effect on firm value. This anomalous condition can occur during Covid-19 and therefore companies must be wiser in running their business effectively and efficiently in order to achieve high profitability and firm value.
Mohamad Ibnussoim, Suyanto Suyanto Copyright (c) 2023 Kontigensi : Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/460 Fri, 29 Dec 2023 00:00:00 -0500 Determinants of Patient Loyalty at the Pratama Clinic Kota Tua Padang https://jurnal.dim-unpas.web.id/index.php/JIMK/article/view/463
The purpose of this study is to examine direct effect of patient trust and effective physician patient communication to patient loyalty and indirect effect of patient trust, doctor empathy, effective physician patient communication of patient loyalty mediated by patient satisfaction at Kota Tua Padang’s primary health care. The development of digital technology is a way and opportunity for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs.) However, not all MSME players are ready to do business digitally, both in marketing and finance. The phenomenon that has occurred lately is evidence that the drastic decline in sales turnover of MSME products is due to one of them shifting the offline sales system to online sales. MSMEs must be able to adapt to technological changes, which cannot be stopped. The most important change is to provide human resources engaged in MSMEs with understanding, knowledge and skills to use digital systems. Through collaboration between MSME actors, government authorities and academics, technical guidance and training can be carried out massively and systematically, so that these activities can answer the needs of MSMEs to compete not only in the local market but also in the global market.
